This past couple of weeks, the project I have procrastinated almost all month long on has the necessary ingredients to be started ! The first part of the hurdle was finding adequate material for the painting surface, and after a short discussion, it was decided that a wood panel would be the sturdier option.
Let me back up a little bit and explain more about what the project is and what inspired this idea.
I have been a fan of the artist/YouTuber Ten Hundred for sometime now, and have looked up to his talent and style. He creates murals and the character design he does is absolutely amazing.
He had a project called "the biggest art collab on youtube!" And it involved him starting a painting and shipping it to another artist, who would in turn paint a section and pass it to the next artist and so on, until completion.
I thought this was a great idea and I loved watching the piece unfold on YouTube and to follow the painting from channel to channel to see the progress and see how the different artists handled their section.
My idea is to do this exact same concept, and start a painting and hand it off to an artist whom I have spoken with and see where it goes from there! The difference in our project and ten hundreds, is that ours in "the largest INDIGENOUS ART COLLAB on YOUTUBE!"
..At least that is the title so far, I'm working out the details yet.
I have been learning some basic (really basic) forms of editing and sourcing some music and attempting to make a video process of what I do, and though I do not have the experience the great TenHun does, I hope to at the very least entertain an audience with the project.
Also we have discussed donating the final piece to a charity or some sort of organization but have not worked that out enough to announce any thing about that part.
So in conclusion, I ask that you bear with me, as I learn to overcome my own fear of being on video and talking on it as well. I am also just learning how to edit and will eventually make more videos with a higher quality as I learn more about the process.
